this weekend i watched this movie called blood diamond. i learned alot form it such as i realized how hard it is for some kids to grow up in some parts of africa. there was kids about 6 to 10 years old learning how to shot a gun and kill people. the rebels in this movie where fighting a war againest the african goverment over greedyness and rules. i think some of you who have not seen it should go see it if you are intrested in movies like that.

Good post. Remember at the beginning of the course when we looked at the different things that media provided? One of them was an experience of the world different from our own. I think Blood Diamond definitely falls into that category - its about a world that we know nothing about. Did it make you think about whether or not you would want to buy a diamond?
I went to see Blood Diamond and I thought it was one of the best movies... I really wanted it to the oscar for best movie sadly it did not. This is an awsome movie all about the conflict in Sri Leone and how tragic it is, I no longer ever want a diamond!
